The Wrights

Okay. Where do I begin? We are the Wrights. Brandon and I have been married for 9 years and I still get excited when I hear him pull into the driveway from work! We have 3 of the greatest kids in the entire world and we have so much fun together! I guess my first blog will just be to catch everyone up on what we've been up to lately and just go from there. I will try to update this as much as possible.

Our daughter, Saige is going to be 14 in December! WOW! Where did time fly with that girl? Saige is so amazing. Sometimes I just watch her and think, "where on earth did she get all that "good stuff" from? She is involved with sign language and drama in our church & at school. I must say she is one of those people that you just want to watch even though she is in a group...she draws your eyes right to her like a magnet.

She is my best friend. Just recently we've bonded over the book "Twilight". Actually, all 4 books in the series by Stephenie Meyers. They were so much fun! This month we went to the movie together with my mom, sister and 3 friends, Tierney, Ashley and Kenzi. I think that was a day that none of us will EVER forget!

Our Dillon is 8 and in the 3rd grade this year. My little guy has walked on his toes since...forever and his tendons got to be so tight he wasn't able to put his feet flat. We've gone to MANY specialists and this year got his feet casted. He had the casts on for a little over 5 weeks and are now going through agressive physical therapy sessions. (plus about 30 minutes of physical therapy every night as homework.) It seems to be working. Soon, he'll be able to walk, run and play with other kids without coming home with holy jeans and skinned knees.

We have been wanting to put Dillon into some kind of "team" such as a sport but knew that he wouldn't be able to keep up with the other kids and he can't walk across the living room without running into things or falling so we thought about it and thought about it. One day Dillon came home with a little paper stuck to his shirt that had "Cub Scout" sign ups on it. So...we signed him up. It is PERFECT! He has so many sweet friends now and feels like he is a part of something special. He's earned his first badge and we are working on TONS more! We are very proud of him. He is a "Bear". GRRRRRR

Now, that brings us to Connor. He is our 5 year old. He has just started Kindergarten and LOVES it! He is such a funny boy and I have so much fun with him. We've gotten to spend a lot of time together because I've spent the most time with him at home. If I could go back and do anything over again, it would be me staying home with EACH of my kids no matter what it took to do so. Time goes by so fast and I will NEVER get that time back with them. Connor's teacher is Mrs. DeForest. She is the most wonderful teacher on the PLANET! She was Dillon's teacher over 3 years ago and I made sure Connor had her too. (That's a perk of living in a small town...being able to pull those little strings you couldn't pull anywhere else...)

This year he got to take his very first bus ride! It was to the pumpkin patch and was so excited he has been asking to take it to and from school every day! I told him I'd be out of a job and maybe when he's older. (He probably won't want to then!) This picture is of him and his best friend Christian (on the left) on the bus. You can see how excited he is on his little face!
Well. I guess that is all for now. I hope you have the most wonderful thanksgiving EVER! Make sure you remember all the little blessings you've been given, one day you'll look back and realize they were the biggest and best ones of all!!!
